Phillip Evans Goes 3-For-7 In Doubleheader Split
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Phillip Evans went 3-for-7 with a home run, a stolen base, one RBI and two runs scored in a doubleheader split with the Tigers on Wednesday. While he's not the Pittsburgh rookie third baseman the fantasy world was expecting to be putting up big numbers, Evans has filled in nicely while Ke'Bryan Hayes is on the injured list, slashing .293/.379/.534 with four home runs, six RBI and 11 runs scored in 16 games. It's looking more and more like Evans will stick in the lineup somewhere even when Hayes returns, so managers in NL-only and 12-team mixed leagues should be looking to target him off the waiver-wire.
