Phillip Dorsett A Fit For No. 3 Role, Demaryius Thomas Not A Lock
5 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Phillip Dorsett seems like a logical fit for the No. 3 wideout duties this year, although Dontrelle Inman also has a chance to be a big-bodied option who can play inside and out. Inman played over a third of his snaps in the slot last year and played over 60 percent of his snaps in the slot in 2016. Julian Edelman will man the slot, while rookie N'Keal Harry will be on the outside. Demaryius Thomas (Achilles) is on the outside looking in for now for a roster spot until he proves his health in training camp. The 26-year-old Dorsett saw a little fantasy love to begin last year with Edelman suspended, and he finished with 32 receptions for 290 yards and three touchdowns. He'll be more of a sleeper in standard-scoring formats as a deep threat for Tom Brady.
