Phillies Reinstate Seranthony Dominguez From Injured List
1 year agoThe Philadelphia Phillies reinstated relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez (oblique) from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned right-hander Andrew Bellatti to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Dominguez will return to a setup role in front of closer Craig Kimbrel in Philadelphia's bullpen after missing around five weeks with a left-oblique strain. As such, the 28-year-old Dominican right-hander will be an option once again in leagues that reward points for holds. Before landing on the injured list, Dominguez had a 4.33 ERA (4.32 FIP), 1.56 WHIP, 11 walks and 28 strikeouts in 27 relief innings. If anything were to happen to Kimbrel, Dominguez would be in the mix for saves in Philly.
