As a result of reliever Adam Morgan’s back injury and subsequent disabled list stint, the Philadelphia Phillies promoted pitcher Seranthony Dominguez on Monday from Double-A Reading. The 23-year-old is the 11th top prospect in the Phillies organization, according to MLB Pipeline. In 13 innings of work for Reading this year, he posted a 2.08 ERA with 18 strikeouts and a pair of walks. He arrives as a reliever and could very well see action sooner rather than later. Manager Gabe Kapler has publicly given Dominguez a vote of confidence, stating he’d have “no hesitation” having him pitch in a high-leverage situation.--RDelgado
