Phillies Acquire Erich Uelmen
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies announced that the team has acquired right-hander Erich Uelmen on Wednesday in a tweet from the team's official Twitter account. Uelmen was acquired from the Chicago Cubs for cash considerations. The 26-year-old previously appeared in 25 games for the Cubs last season, logging 27 innings to go with a 4.67 ERA and a 5.00 FIP. He also turned in three holds and a save to go along with 21 strikeouts compared to 12 walks. Philadelphia's other current bullpen options include Jose Alvarado, Connor Brogdon, Seranthony Dominguez, Craig Kimbrel, Andrew Bellatti, James McArthur, Nick Nelson, Luis Ortiz, Sam Coonrod, Matt Strahm, Noah Song, Michael Plassmeyer, and Andrew Vasquez.
