Philipp Grubauer To Return To The Crease Tuesday
12 months agoSeattle Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer (undisclosed) will be back between the pipes for Tuesday's contest versus the Chicago Blackhawks. The veteran netminder has missed the last week with an undisclosed ailment, last appearing in a Nov. 20 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames. "You saw that in the morning skate today, he's available and good to go," Kraken head coach David Hakstol said on Tuesday. Grubauer finished third in Vezina Trophy voting in his final season with the Colorado Avalanche in the 2021-22 campaign but is struggling in his third season in Seattle. The German owns a 3.36 goals-against average and an .885 save percentage in 12 starts this season, going 5-6-0 in that time. His minus-5.62 goals saved above average ranks 56th of 66 qualified netminders, per Hockey Reference.
