Peyton Barber Quiet in Buccaneers Offensive Explosion
Peyton Barber was disappointing Sunday against the Saints. Barber rushed 18 times for just 69 yards and no touchdowns in what ended up being a 48 point beatdown on New Orleans. The starting running back was touted as the Bucs' workhorse going into this season, and his volume suggests it. However, it's a shame that he couldn't capitalize on his role with more production. The game-script was favorable and he had the opportunities, but just six~ fantasy points to show for it against an average run defense is disappointing. Most notably, Barber was not targeted even once in the passing game. He will be a liability in all PPR leagues if this becomes a trend. Barber will get another opportunity to showcase why he deserves the weekly starting nod Sunday against the Eagles in what should prove to be an even tougher matchup.

Peyton Barber A Healthy Scratch Again
Peyton Barber is a healthy scratch once again, making this the third week in a row that Barber won't be in the lineup. He's clearly only on this roster to be an emergency play if either Josh Jacobs or Kenyan Drake are injured. The Raiders will also be without tight end Darren Waller (ankle), who has been the focal point of this offense. Without him, Drake could see some more usage in the short passing game, booting his value a bit and making him a decent deep-league play.

Peyton Barber A Healthy Scratch
Peyton Barber is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Broncos. The veteran back had 23 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown in Week 3, but he has just one touch since. With Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake healthy, Barber is nothing more than an emergency option for this team, and he's unlikely to even be active unless one of those two is out. He can be dropped in redraft leagues.

Peyton Barber - Week 6 Outlook for Fantasy Football
Peyton Barber is expected to return in Week 6 as his team visits the Denver Broncos. The 27-year-old missed Week 5's loss to the Chicago Bears due to turf toe but was a full participant at practices this week ahead of the trip to Denver. Barber initially became the Raiders go-to running back when Josh Jacobs was sidelined for a few games, but it's unclear how much work he will get this weekend with Jacobs' status questionable due to illness and with Kenyan Drake and Jalen Richard already in the mix. Even if Barber finds a way to regain a spot on the depth chart behind Jacobs, he's not going to have enough work against the Broncos to have a decent fantasy impact this weekend.

Peyton Barber On Track To Return Against Denver
Peyton Barber (toe) returned to a full practice after missing the Week 5 loss to the Chicago Bears with a minor case of turf toe. Barber was the better fantasy back over pass-catching Kenyan Drake when Josh Jacobs missed a few games early on, but Jacobs has moved past his injury concerns and saw a much bigger share of the workload last weekend. Jacobs saw all but two of the carries and all but two of the RB targets with Drake and Jalen Richard involved versus Chicago. Barber could still be involved in short-yardage situations behind Jacobs, but he's unlikely to see nearly enough touches to have standalone fantasy value against the Broncos this Sunday.
