Peyton Barber Looks To Build Off Week 2 Performance
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber, coming off an impressive 83-yard, one-touchdown performance in Week 2, will look to keep things rolling Sunday with the New York Giants coming to town. Reports had suggested that Barber was in line to play second fiddle to Ronald Jones II against the Panthers in Week 2, but things didn't exactly pan out that way. Barber ran the ball 23 times while Jones managed a measly four carries on the day. Fantasy owners who took a chance on him saw their gamble pay off, but Barber remains a risky fantasy option until the Buccaneers backfield situation gets fully sorted out. The Giants Defense doesn't present the biggest challenge this week, but there are obvious risks starting Barber. Consider him a low-end flex option whose value would rise if he can carve out a consistent role as the Buccaneers No. 1 option out of the backfield.
