Petr Mrazek Makes 18 Saves In Canes Debut
6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Petr Mrazek had a quiet debut for the team as he faced only 20 shots against the New York Islanders. He finished with 18 saves and allowed two goals, with Valtteri Filppula and Josh Bailey getting on the scoresheet for the Isles. The Canes themselves managed to score just once and outshot the visitors 46-20, so Mrazek wasn't the reason why they lost 2-1 in overtime. Overall, it was a solid debut from the 26-year-old goalie, and with Scott Darling (lower body) out, he'll be the undisputed starter for Carolina for at least a couple of weeks.
