Petr Mrazek Excellent In Season-Opening Win Tuesday
1 year agoChicago Blackhawks goaltender Petr Mrazek put forth a stellar effort on Tuesday night as his team earned an upset victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The veteran netminder turned aside 38 of 40 shots on the evening while his club rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take down the Penguins by a 4-2 final. Despite the impressive season debut, fantasy managers will want to pump the brakes on adding Mrazek, even in the deepest of leagues. While the 31-year-old will see the lion's share of starts over Arvid Soderblom this season, he also posted a 3.66 goals-against average and .894 save percentage with the Blackhawks last season, his second consecutive poor season between the pipes. While the Blackhawks were impressive on opening night, Mrazek is unlikely to rack up many wins behind a young Blackhawks club.
