The New York Mets erased a three-run deficit, with first baseman Peter Alonso's solo blast breaking the tie. It was New York's third home run in the seventh inning. For Alonso, it was his second hit in the game and third of the day as he drilled an RBI single in the first game. The New York Mets pulled to a game over .500 for the first time since the beginning of May.
