Pete Fairbanks Notches Fourth Save On Friday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Pete Fairbanks tossed a scoreless inning to earn the save during Friday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Braves. He entered the 10th inning to protect a one-run lead. The 27-year-old retired all three batters he faced to earn his fourth save of the season. It was his first save since June 14. Fairbanks is 4-for-5 in save opportunities along with a 3.29 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and a 31:14 K: BB across 27 1/3 innings in 2021. The Rays right-hander most likely will share closing duties with Diego Castillo but is a solid pickup in all league formats for fantasy managers searching for saves.
