Pete Fairbanks Dealing With Shoulder Inflammation
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Pete Fairbanks (shoulder) exited Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the New York Yankees with shoulder inflammation. He allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit without recording an out before leaving. The Rays right-hander was saddled with his fourth loss of the season. Fairbanks will be evaluated on Thursday, and the severity of his injury is unknown at this time. He owns 10 holds and a 3.48 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts across 31 innings in 2021. The 27–year-old has a vital role in the Rays bullpen and fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation. Fairbanks is considered day-to-day.
