Pete Crow-Armstrong Tallies Three Hits On Thursday
8 months agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong went 3-5 in Thursday's victory. The outfielder launched his first home run of the season in the bottom of the first. Then in the seventh inning, Crow-Armstrong laced a single, swiped second base, and crossed home plate on a passed ball. To cap the night off, the 22-year-old hit an RBI double in the eighth inning, which scored two. Crow-Armstrong was in contention to open the season in the big leagues but was sent down to further his development. He is posting an overall stat line of .308/.357/.519 in Triple-A and should receive a call-up later this season as the Cubs hope to contend for a playoff spot.
