Pete Crow-Armstrong Continues To Show Power
1 year agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-5 with a solo home run for Double-A Tennessee on Tuesday. His homer would be his 13th of the season and he is now hitting .284 with 59 RBI and 23 stolen bases. The 21-year-old has taken a big leap this year in terms of offense to go along with his top tier defense. With the Cubs debating being sellers at the trade deadline and Coby Bellinger's name being one of their biggest bargaining chips, there is a slight chance that Crow-Armstrong could be his replacement in 2023. If not in 2023, Crow-Armstrong will certainly have a chance to crack the 2024 big-league squad. The left-handed hitter has improved his power game since being drafted out of high school in 2020 and that could lead 20-20 potential down the road. As he continues to mature, his bat continues to get stronger and managers in dynasty leagues should already be rostering the young outfielder. If he were to see his name called in 2023, he would be worth throwing a dart at in deeper redraft leagues.
