3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, and an RBI in the Mets 8-7 victory over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. Alonso had gone a putrid 0-for-21 prior to his outburst on Wednesday, exemplifying exactly why Alonso should remain active in all formats, even when struggling. Hopefully, Wednesday's performance will jump-start Alonso's bat and propel him to another hot streak.
