Pete Alonso With Three Hits In Mets Loss
4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and two runs scored in the Mets' 6-5 loss to the Cardinals on Monday. Alonso, much like teammate Michael Conforto, is finally heating up at the plate. Over his last seven games, Alonso is slashing .333/.400/.593 in 27 at-bats with one home run and five RBI. He has raised his batting average to .282 on the season during this current streak. Alonso is one of the game's top power hitters who should remain active in all fantasy formats, especially with his bat getting hot. Stating the obvious, Alonso should provide fantasy managers with elite power counting stats hitting in the middle of a Mets lineup that appears to finally be trending in the right direction.
