Peter Alonso Keeps Raking in Spring Training
6 years agoThe name change from Pete to Peter has done Peter Alonso some good in spring training, as he's one of the league leaders with a 1.296 OPS. He also owns a .414 AVG, which is also one of the best marks in the early going. In total, Alonso has 12 hits in 29 at-bats. He's provided three doubles and three home runs. Alonso is currently battling Dominic Smith for starting first base duties in New York but Smith is currently 12-of-26 as well. Both players are desperate to show that they've improved in the offseason. Whoever wins out is worth a look in fantasy, as they'll have a formidable spot in a much-improved lineup.
