Pete Alonso Hits Two Homers On Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in the Mets 10-3 loss to the Orioles on Tuesday. It was the ninth time in Alonso's career that he has hit two homers in a game. Alonso now has nine HR on the season to go with 28 RBI, and a .255/.343/.471 slash line over 157 at-bats. Despite a slow start to the season, and some time spent on the injured list in May due to a sprained hand, Alonso's bat is starting to heat up. He has a tendency to hit homers in bunches, so fantasy managers should be sure to keep him active in all lineups. Depending on his cost in DFS formats, he should also be a very solid play on Wednesday when the Mets conclude their two-game series in Baltimore against Matt Harvey.
