Pete Alonso Hits 26th Home Run On Tuesday
3 years agoOn Tuesday, New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Mets 3-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants. He accounted for the only runs scored by the struggling offense. On the season, Alonso is batting .250/.333/.495 with 26 home runs, 17 doubles, and 69 RBI. As reported previously, Alonso has a tendency to hit home runs in bunches. Accordingly, his home run on Tuesday could be a precursor toward a forthcoming power surge. As one of the only hitters in the Mets lineup showing signs of life right now, Alonso should remain active in all fantasy formats.
