3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 4-for-8 with a home run and three RBI in a twin bill on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves. The Mets took both games against the Braves on Tuesday, aided by Alonso's solid night. Over the first 26 games of the season, Alonso now has five homers, 21 RBI, and three doubles to go with a .260/.321/.440 slash line in 100 at-bats. It is shaping up to be a big season for Alonso who hits in the middle of a potent Mets lineup.
