6 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Pedro Strop was pulled early from a save opportunity in Monday’s contest versus the New York Mets. Strop recorded one out and allowed one hit and one run. Jesse Chavez came in with three runners on and recorded the final two outs to secure the save. Strop is likely to remain the Cubs closer as long as Brandon Morrow (biceps) continues to be sidelined, but Strop just didn’t have his stuff on Monday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
