Pedro Leon Dealing With Left Knee Discomfort
16 seconds agoHouston Astros outfield prospect Pedro Leon (knee) is dealing with left knee discomfort. Lee was expected to start in Sunday's Grapefruit League contest but was instead a late scratch. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the outfielder's status as he may miss an extended period of camp. Last season, Leon made his MLB debut and tallied just two his across seven games. He has spent the majority of his previous three seasons with Triple-A Sugar Land. He has seen steady improvement at Triple-A as he posted a career-best .299/.372/.514 line with 25 doubles and 24 home runs, which were all career-highs last summer. He also swiped an impressive 29 bags. Leon should compete for a depth role in the outfield on the major league roster when healthy. However, if he happens to miss most of spring training, he may have to open the campaign with Triple-A.
