Payton Pritchard Unlikely To Find Perfect Fit
1 year agoBoston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard recently mentioned that he'd rather be traded than play off the bench. The 25-year-old has played a minimal role on the team over the last three seasons. The organization has high praise for Pritchard and the way he plays the game. However, they don't have the minutes available for him on their current roster. That being said, it wouldn't be shocking to see the team decide to move Pritchard in order to give him more minutes elsewhere. The problem with that is it's going to be difficult to find a team that is willing to give him a 25-minute role in the rotation. Pritchard has averaged 15.7 minutes per game over the last three seasons. He obviously feels that he can contribute more to the team, but it's uncertain if other organizations believe he can be a starter. That being said, the Celtics are likely going to have a tough time trying to find a trade partner willing to guarantee Pritchard significant minutes in the rotation.
