Pavin Smith Reaches Base Three Times In Loss Wednesday
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Pavin Smith went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and two runs scored in a 7-6 loss to the Mets on Wednesday. Smith now has a 13-game hitting streak after Wednesday's game, and over his last 15 games he is slashing .357/.419/.571 with two home runs, eight RBI and 11 runs scored. He's quietly been having a very solid rookie season with Arizona, as he's slashing .290/.344/.460 with five home runs, one steal, 21 RBI and 33 runs scored on the season. He's definitely reached the point where he should be rostered in the majority of formats, and managers looking for help at first base or in the outfield should look to scoop him up off the waiver-wire this week.
