Paul Skenes Racks Up Eight Strikeouts In Strong Outing On Friday
10 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Paul Skenes was dominant yet again on Friday, racking up eight strikeouts in seven innings during the Pirates' 14-2 win over the New York Mets. Skenes improved his record to 5-0 and lowered his ERA to 2.12 after dominating the Mets. The rookie sensation also threw a season-high 107 pitches. Friday's strong outing only helps Skenes' case for NL Rookie of the Year as he starts to build a gap between him and the field. The 22-year-old will have one more scheduled start before the All-Star break, currently scheduled for next Wednesday in Milwaukee against the Brewers. Fantasy managers and DFS players should continue to target Skenes whenever possible.
