Paul Sewald Secures Monday's Save
1 year agoSeattle Mariners reliever Paul Sewald completed his 19th save of the season on Monday when his club defeated the Minnesota Twins 7-6. He only needed to get one out in the top of the ninth inning, striking out the only batter he faced. Sewald now owns a 3.11 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 37.4% strikeout rate across 37 2/3 innings. Despite the handful of late-inning arms in Seattle's pen, the 33-year-old has the closing role locked down, and fantasy managers should start him in all formats.
