Paul Sewald Records Back-To-Back Saves
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks closer Paul Sewald picked up his 23rd save of the season Sunday in a 5-4 win over the San Diego Padres. Sewald tossed a scoreless ninth, allowing just a walk while striking out one. After a blown save in his first opportunity with Arizona, Sewald has bounced back with a couple of scoreless converted saves in the last two days. The 33-year-old veteran should see plenty more opportunities down the stretch as Arizona pushes for a playoff spot. He is a high-quality bullpen option that can be started in almost all formats.
