Paul Sewald Locks Down Second Save
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald recorded his second save of the year Saturday, throwing a scoreless inning against the Los Angeles Angeles. He didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one batter. Sewald is quickly establishing himself as the primary closing option behind Kendall Graveman, and given that Graveman is used in high-leverage situations, that makes Sewald a viable fantasy addition. His value will go up even more if Graveman is moved at the deadline, though Seattle may hesitate to make that move as they rise up the standings.
