Paul Sewald Collects 28th Save Thursday
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks closer Paul Sewald shut the door on the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, closing out a 3-2 win. Sewald threw a scoreless ninth inning, allowing just a walk while striking out a pair. After a shaky start to his time in the desert, Sewald has settled down nicely. The 33-year-old now has eight straight scoreless appearances, including seven saves during that span. He should continue to be the go-to option for the Snakes and could see a load of opportunities as they fight for a postseason berth. He is a top-ten fantasy closer.
