Paul Sewald Blows Sunday's Game
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Paul Sewald was brought in with a one-run lead versus the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. The right-hander didn't retire a batter as he allowed three runs to score in what ended up being a loss for Arizona. He allowed Max Kepler to tie the game to open the frame. After that, Sewald gave up a walkoff two-run blast to Matt Wallner. It was a tough outing for Sewald, but he should rebound from this. The D-Backs acquired Sewald at the trade deadline to be their closer down the stretch. That being said, Sewald should remain in the ninth inning role going forward.
