Paul Goldschmidt Goes Deep On Monday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a homer and two RBI during a 3-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday. The six-time All-Star took Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo deep during the first inning for a two-run blast. The 33-year-old now has 22 homers, 79 RBI, 72 runs, and 10 stolen bases with a .286/.352/.833 line through 497 at-bats. The return of Goldy's prowess on the basepaths is a welcomed sight for fantasy managers, as he averaged over 18 SB during a six-year stretch from 2012 to 2017. Goldschmidt leads the position in stolen bases and has virtually no flaws in his fantasy profile.
