Paul DeJong Struggling In Grapefruit League Play
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong has struggled in Grapefruit League play this season. In 43 spring at bats, DeJong is hitting just .209 with a .571 OPS. He's hit just one home run so far. DeJong is not in any danger of losing any regular season playing time, but he's been such a streaky hitter throughout his career that it would be ideal to see him get off to a hot start instead of kicking off the 2021 season on a cold spell. DeJong is probably a more valuable fantasy asset in rotisserie leagues, where his hot and cold spells even out throughout the season. Still, his hot streaks are usually hot enough to make him an option in most formats.
