Paul Blackburn Makes Case For Rotation Spot
7 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Paul Blackburn pitched four scoreless innings of two-hit ball on Thursday against the Mariners. He also struck out six and walked one in the outing. Blackburn is making manager Bob Melvin have a tough decision tough for filling out the starting rotation. The rotation options are not filled with excellent choices at the moment, and Blackburn has made an impact in spring. Thus far, Blackburn has a 3.86 ERA, striking out 14 batters in 14 innings while walking seven batters. While it is a good spring for him, Blackburn does not have the upside to make him a fantasy option right now.
