3 years agoThe New England Patriots are working out free-agent kicker Tristan Vizcaino on Monday, according to a source. Vizcaino most recently kicked for the Los Angeles Chargers, and he's also scheduled for a second workout on Wednesday with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Patriots still have veteran Nick Folk, who was one of the best overall kickers in fantasy last year, so Vizcaino would merely represent some kicking depth if they were to sign him. The 25-year-old played in six games with the Bolts last year and went 6-for-7 on his field-goal attempts and 10-for-15 on extra points. He's made 90% of his 10 field-goal attempts for the Chargers and San Francisco 49ers in his two NFL seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

2 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are making it clear they are looking for a veteran kicker to create training-camp competition with Tristan Vizcaino this summer, on the heels of saying goodbye to Brett Maher one year after what became a three-man competition at the position last year. Vizcaino is off to a solid start at organized team activities, nailing eight of his attempts to close out OTAs. His only misses came from 44 and 55 yards out. The 26-year-old was signed to the team's practice squad in mid-January after Maher famously missed four extra-point attempts in the playoff win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Vizcaino will have to prove he's the guy this summer, but if he wins the job, he could be a kicking streamer in 2023 in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

2 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys signed kicker Tristan Vizcaino to their practice squad earlier this week but ultimately did not elevate him for their Divisional Round matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The team has reiterated its belief in Brett Maher, who missed four extra-point attempts in a Wild-Card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night. Maher will be the only kicker available for Dallas during Sunday's contest and will hope to rebound to the dependability he displayed throughout the regular season.--Jorden Hill - RotoBaller

2 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys have signed kicker Tristan Vizcaino to their practice squad ahead of a Divisional Round playoff matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The team is expected to continue starting Brett Maher, who missed four extra points on Monday night, but Dallas will now have the 26-year-old Vizcaino as insurance if Maher struggles in practice later in the week. Vizcaino most recently kicked for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10 and successfully converted on two field goals and three extra-point attempts in a win over the Los Angeles Rams.--Jorden Hill - RotoBaller

2 years agoArizona Cardinals kicker Tristan Vizcaino made both field goal attempts and all three extra-point attempts as he filled in for Matt Prater (hip/illness). His longest make was from 46 yards, as the Washington collegiate product was impressive in his 2022 debut. It is unknown if Prater will be held out for an extended period of time, but Vizcaino will be nothing but a streaming option if he continues to start for the Cardinals.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
