Patriots Sign Mike Gesicki
2 years agoThe New England Patriots have reached an agreement with free-agent tight end Mike Gesicki. The two sides have come to terms on a one-year, $9 million contract for the 2023 season. This move gives the Patriots a second tight end after they traded Jonnu Smith to the Atlanta Falcons. Gesicki is coming off a down year this past season, but recorded 70 receptions in 2021. The potential is there, but Gesicki didn't fit well in Mike McDaniel's system. He'll likely be stuck in a timeshare with Hunter Henry in New England. Hopefully, a change of scenery will make Gesicki fantasy relevant again.
