Patriots Releasing Matt Corral
1 year agoAccording to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots released quarterback Matt Corral on Saturday. The team recently claimed the signal-caller after the Panthers waived him at the end of August. However, he'll now look for work elsewhere, although there's a chance he could land on a practice squad for another club, at the very least. In a corresponding move, the Patriots signed Bailey Zappe back to the 53-man roster, where he is expected to serve as the No. 2 option on the depth chart behind Mac Jones.
