Patriots Releasing Josh Gordon
5 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon (knee) is being released off Injured Reserve on Thursday, according to a source. Gordon will become available to all other teams and should get picked up quickly given his talent, but it remains to be seen where he'll land and whether he'll have a chance to become fantasy relevant again. The 28-year-old was mostly a disappointment in his time in New England, and he had 20 receptions on 36 targets for 287 yards and one score in his six games this season. The Patriots are using Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett and Mohamed Sanu in three-receiver sets moving forward. Gordon can be dropped in shallow leagues, if he hasn't been already.
