2 years agoThe New England Patriots are expected to sign Garrett Gilbert to their practice squad ahead of Week 5 as Mac Jones (ankle) and Brian Hoyer (concussion) remain with an uncertain status leading up to the team's matchup with the Lions. Bailey Zappe is currently the only healthy quarterback on the roster, so Gilbert will serve as some valuable insurance if both Jones and Hoyer can't go on Sunday. With a rookie quarterback potentially under center, the Patriots offense could heavily lean on running backs Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson against a weak Lions' run defense.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
