Patrick Rodgers Tough To Trust At Sandserson Farms Championship
6 months agoFantasy managers will have a tough time deciding whether or not to roster Patrick Rodgers this week. The 32-year-old Stanford University alum hasn't fared well at the Sanderson Farms Championship in recent years, as he followed his T14 result in 2019 with a T61, two missed cuts, and a T54 in 2023. The data appears to question his ability to contend this week as well, as he ranks 62nd in good drive percentage, 88th on overall approach, 111th on approach between 100-125 yards, and 77th in opportunities gained over the last 36 rounds. These aren't desirable statistics from the tenth-most expensive golfer on this week's DraftKings slate. A case could be made for roster Rodgers based on recent form, as he enters the week on the heels of eight consecutive made cuts with no finish worse than T37. Those deciding to roster Rodgers may want to consider the route of limited exposure at the Country Club of Jackson this week.

Patrick Rodgers Attempts To Keep Things Rolling In Florida
1 month agoPatrick Rodgers has played some very good golf in 2025. The American golfer comes off consecutive Top 25 results including a T-3 at The Genesis Invitational. The first three events did not go so well. Rodgers missed the cut in Hawaii, struggled at The American Express and had a rough weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open. Rodgers went back to work on his short game, keeping things simple, and has three Top 25 efforts over the past four events. Putting has been a struggle but he ranks a solid 58th in driving accuracy (62.35%) despite hitting the driver an average of 307 yards a swing. Rodgers scrambles well and gets the ball on the green nearly 70% of the time. Rodgers is +190 to end up in the Top 20 via DraftKings this weekend.

Patrick Rodgers Finishes Tied For Third At Genesis Invitational
2 months agoPatrick Rodgers delivered his best performance of the 2025 season at last week's Genesis Invitational, where he finished tied for third. He is now focusing on preparing for this week's Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta. Rodgers has a strong track record at this tournament, finishing tied for sixth in 2024, tied for 10th in 2023, and 10th in 2022. In the past 12 months, Rodgers ranks in the 46th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots taken from over 200 yards in the fairway. Notably, over 43% of approach shots at last year's Mexico Open came from this distance. Given Rodgers's previous performances at this tournament and his recent form, he could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups this week.

Patrick Rodgers A Wild Card At WM Phoenix Open
2 months agoPatrick Rodgers enjoyed a solid stretch of golf in the second half of 2024. Dating back to July, the 32-year-old Stanford University alum only missed one cut in 12 appearances, racking up five top-25 finishes along the way. But he appeared rusty with a missed cut in his 2025 debut at the Sony Open last week, and he hasn't finished inside of the top-20 in his three starts that followed. While Rodgers is one of the better Poa putters in the field, he ranks outside of the top-40 in a number key statistical categories over the last 36 rounds, including good drive percentage, total driving, overall approach, and around-the-green. He also has volatile history at this event, finishing inside of the top-20 three times and missing the cut five times dating back to 2016. Rodgers profiles as a coin flip for fantasy managers this week at his $6,900 DraftKings salary.

Patrick Rodgers A Player To Fade At The American Express
3 months agoPatrick Rodgers enjoyed a solid stretch of golf in the second half of 2024. Dating back to July, the 32-year-old Stanford University alum only missed one cut in 12 appearances, racking up five top-25 finishes along the way. But he appeared rusty with a missed cut in his 2025 debut at the Sony Open last week, and there's little reason to believe he'll fare any better at PGA West. While Rodgers is one of the better Poa putters in the field, he ranks outside of the top-50 in a number key statistical categories over the last 6 rounds this week, including good drive percentage, approach play, around-the-green, opportunities gained, and strokes gained on easy courses. He also missed the cut here in two of his five career appearances here, with his best finish being a T40 in 2022. Fantasy managers should consider higher-upside golfers in the low-$7,000 range on DraftKings this week.
