Patrick Laird Expected To Miss Multiple Weeks
3 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Patrick Laird (knee) is expected to miss multiple weeks and could land on Injured Reserve after suffering an MCL sprain in the Week 13 win over the New York Giants. Laird was injured in the first quarter and never returned. Playing behind Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed this year, Laird hasn't been fantasy relevant at all and has just one carry for four yards and three catches for 17 yards in six games played in 2021. Newly signed running back Phillip Lindsay (ankle) missed Sunday's game after making his debut in Week 12. The Dolphins will be on bye in Week 14, so Ahmed and Lindsay could be fighting for offensive snaps in Week 15 against the New York Jets behind Ahmed.
