Patrick Kane Not Expected To Play On Thursday
14 hours agoAccording to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane (upper body) is not expected to return to action on Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers. Kane has missed the past three contests and is now expected to miss his fourth straight contest. Kane sustained this injury following their contest against the Philadelphia Flyers on January 21. However, the Red Wings are expected to welcome back left wing Vladimir Tarasenko (illness) to the starting lineup on Thursday evening. Before the injury, Kane was enjoying a nice offensive surge as he tallied 16 points (six goals, 10 helpers) over his previous 12 contests. During this stretch, the 36-year-old tallied 10 of his points on the power-play while averaging 2.4 shots on goal per game.
