1 year agoFree agent forward Patrick Kane is garnering interest from at least five teams as he works toward a return to game action following hip resurfacing surgery after the New York Rangers were eliminated from the postseason in the first round by the New Jersey Devils in the spring. The Athletic's Chris Johnston lists the Rangers, Panthers, Sabres, Red Wings, and Maple Leafs as potential fits and teams showing interest in the future Hall of Famer. Surely, Kane's market won't be limited to those five clubs as his agent, Pat Brisson, will have plenty of teams to speak with as Kane's market takes shape in the coming weeks. The veteran endured a down season while dealing with a wonky hip in 2022-23, tallying 21 goals and 57 points in 73 games between the Blackhawks and Rangers for the lowest full-season point total of his 16-year NHL career.
