Patrick Fishburn Looking To Bounce Back At Black Desert Championship
1 month agoIt's been a solid run of golf since mid-July for Patrick Fishburn, as the 32-year-old has only missed one cut in six events over that span. He is coming off a disappointing week in Mississippi, finishing tied for 48th with mediocre play across the board minus a solid week around the greens where he gained over two strokes. For someone who just finished his rookie campaign on the PGA Tour, a new event at a brand-new course could be beneficial for bouncing back and continuing his stellar run. Black Desert Resort looks to provide generous room off the tee but will be very penalizing on missed fairways. Fishburn ranked 8th in the 2024 regular season in strokes gained off the tee (+0.632) and grades out as the top player in the field in strokes gained putting on bentgrass surfaces (averaging +1.21 over his last 12 rounds). At $10,900 on FanDuel, a big week could be in store for the former BYU golfer.
