Patrick Corbin Suffers Third Loss In Nightmarish Start
4 years agoWashington Nationals starter Patrick Corbin couldn't do anything to stop the New York Mets on Sunday in what marked his third loss of the season. Corbin got pummeled to the tune of seven hits and four runs in just 79 pitches before getting off the mound. Two of those seven hits came on home runs to J.D. Davis and Pete Alonso, and on top of that Corbin handed three bases on walks while only striking out three on his short outing. Washington has dropped three of the four games Corbin has started, and although he didn't allow a single run against the Cardinals on Apr. 20 and logged a quality start back then, he couldn't get his first win of the year. Corbin's monstrous 10.47 ERA this season is looking worse by the day and it does not look like he will have it easy to fix it any time soon.
