Patrick Corbin Looking To Bounce Back Tuesday
1 year agoWashington Nationals pitcher Patrick Corbin will be in search of a bounce-back effort Tuesday night when he takes on the New York Mets at Nationals Park. The veteran left-hander was touched up for six earned runs on 10 hits and one walk across five innings against the Blue Jays his last time out. He has largely been plagued by inconsistency again this season but previously went four straight starts allowing three earned runs or fewer before his latest hiccup. For the season, Corbin sports a 4.90 ERA across 27 starts, his best mark since the shortened 2020 season. The southpaw will take on a Mets offense that is tied for 22nd with a .306 wOBA versus left-handed pitching this season.
