Patrick Cantlay remains one of the most consistent players on tour this season, securing his sixth top-15 finish at the RBC Heritage with a T13 result. He now looks ahead to the Truist Championship, which will be played at Philadelphia Cricket Club instead of the usual Quail Hollow. At 7,119 yards, the course is on the shorter side, which should play to Cantlay's strengths. He is gaining 1.142 strokes per round overall, ranking 13th in tee-to-green performance (1.028 gained per round) and 17th on approach (0.605 gained per round). He's also sixth in greens in regulation and hits the fairway at a rate of 61.61% (58th on tour), which will be a key factor on a new course. At $9,500 on DraftKings, Cantlay is once again a reliable option for fantasy managers.

Patrick Cantlay has been the model of consistency this season, playing eight events and recording no worse than the T36 that he finished with at The Masters. He'll look to carry that steady form into the RBC Heritage, a tournament where he's experienced tremendous success. In seven trips to Harbour Town, Cantlay has recorded six finishes of T7 or better, including four third-place results. That success has been driven by his dominance off the tee and on approach, two areas where he continues to thrive this season. He ranks 18th in strokes gained from tee to green (0.964 per round), 18th on approach (0.598), and 68th in driving accuracy. He also ranks in the 88th percentile over the last 12 months in proximity from 150–200 yards, a critical range given that 42.5% of all approach shots came from that distance last year. With his track record and current form, Cantlay is a strong play at $10,000 on DraftKings.

There have been glimpses of form from Patrick Cantlay in 2025, though most came early in the year. He managed to finish T12 at The Players but has sandwiched two disappointing finishes outside the top 30 around that. The flat stick has been the deciding factor between contending and being in the middle of the pack. He's lost strokes putting in three total events, which all resulted in T31 or worse; gaining strokes has resulted in finishing no worse than T15. Looking at his history at Augusta National, Cantlay has averaged -1.177 strokes gained putting over his last four starts. His ball striking may be some of the best in professional golf, but losing that much on the greens will never yield good results. The 33-year-old has had some good finishes here, but the apparent lack of confidence on the greens warrants looking elsewhere.

Patrick Cantlay has been rock-solid to start the year, finishing in the top 33 in all six of his starts, including four top-15 finishes. He now aims to continue his strong form at the Valero Texas Open, an event he has yet to play in his career. Success at TPC San Antonio requires sharp play on approach, an area where Cantlay has excelled this season. Currently, he ranks 33rd in strokes gained on approach, gaining an impressive 0.443 strokes per round. In addition to his approach game, Cantlay boasts a solid short game, ranking 35th in strokes gained putting (0.367 per round) and 45th around the green (0.224). He also ranks in the 90th percentile for proximity from 200-plus yards, an area that accounted for 28.7% of all approach shots here last year. With a price tag of $10,200 on DraftKings, Cantlay offers the kind of winning upside that fantasy managers are searching for.
