6 years agoPatrick Cantlay will be making his first career start in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational this week. The young star's excellent play over the past year has put him comfortably inside the official world golf ranking's top 50, which qualified him for this event. Cantlay is coming off a wonderful Open Championship debut, where he was able to finish tied for 12th at Carnoustie. Firestone Country Club should be a nice fit for Cantlay's sharp ballstriking. The 26-year-old currently ranks ninth in strokes gained: tee to green and 20th in greens in regulation. Cantlay has no course history to analyze, but he is a viable DFS option this week.--Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
