Pat Perez Has Found Success at the Sony Open
6 years agoPat Perez enters the Sony Open off of two top-seven finishes in his past three events. The American has gone through stretches of being hot and cold over the past few seasons, and his current quality form presents an opportunity to find success in Hawaii. Waialae Country Club is a very similar venue to Playa del Carmen, the host of the Mayakoba Golf Classic. A lot of the same skill sets are needed to play both courses, and Perez not only finished in a share of sixth place during the Mayakoba in November but was the winner of the event in 2016. The 42-year-old has provided two top-20 finishes at the Sony Open in his past four attempts, although his previous two showings have only resulted in a share of 69th and a share of 81st place.
