Pat Neshek Picks Up Second Save Of Season
6 years agoAfter Philadelphia Phillies closer Seranthony Dominguez failed to secure the save Monday night in Arizona, manager Gabe Kapler turned to Pat Neshek to secure the result on Tuesday night. With the club up by three runs following a big eighth inning, the 37-year-old had his first save opportunity since mid-July and would retire the side in order. It was his second save of the season, as he lowered his ERA to 0.73 in 14 appearances. At this point, he could be the favorite for saves, but there truly is no telling how things will play out in the Philadelphia bullpen.
